Every1online Update: Homewood is online!
Homewood is Online!
Meta Mesh is happy to announce that our Every1online network is online in Homewood! We recently completed the installation of our local repeater tower, which will be used to connect users in the Homewood neighborhood.
This wouldn’t have been possible without the University of Pittsburgh, Homewood Childrens Village, and all our other great partners that have contributed to this project. We’re incredibly thankful for everyone that has helped us get to this point, and we couldn’t have reached this milestone without them.
We have also started to install home connections in Homewood, and we are continuing to install more in Coraopolis. Sign ups are still open. If you or someone you know is within our coverage areas, sign up here. We’ll be surveying and installing more home connections over the next few weeks.
It has taken a lot of work to get to this point, and we have even more work ahead of us. We’ve learned a lot over the past year. We are staying busy with our networks in Coraopolis and Homewood, but we’re also working on the next phase of Every1online. There’s still so much work to be done to bridge the Digital Divide in Pittsburgh. We are proud of our progress so far, but this is just the beginning.
