About us

Community Internet Solutions is one of the first and only non-profit internet service providers in the country. Currently operating in Southwestern Pennsylvania we deploy a variety of solutions to deliver high-speed, reliable, private, and secure Internet to unserved and underserved communities, locally-owned businesses, and homes.  When communities struggle to connect to broadband, Community Internet Solutions accepts the task of taking on difficult connectivity challenges.

To succeed in these challenges, we seek to develop long-term partnerships with community anchor institutions, including social service organizations, community organizations, workforce training centers, libraries, hospitals, and K-12 schools and universities. We then work with these groups to build sustainable and secure broadband Internet access.

As your non-profit internet service provider, we will always:

Provide reliable equipment for high speed internet access at no additional charge to our customers.

Protect our customers privacy -- we will never share or sell your data.

Provide internet to our residential customers without long-term contracts or obligations.

We are mission-driven to provide the fastest, most secure Internet experience in an equitable way.   We want to connect the unconnected and provide options for the underserved. We want to invest in digital human capital. We want to bring the web!

our mission:

Our mission is to bridge the Digital Divide by providing reliable and affordable Internet access to Southwestern Pennsylvania’s under-served neighborhoods.

nearly 1 in 4 Allegheny County households still use dial-up, rely only on a cellular plan, or lack Internet access completely.
